Job Description

Global Investment Management firm seeks experienced technologist to join their
team an Application Portfolio Manager, with the goal of overseeing
revolutionary change, ensuring that the firm’s trading technology
infrastructure evolves to meet future business needs.
Lead strategy/execution/maintenance/quality assurance for all applications
within the portfolio
Manage a team including project execution capability (PM/BA/QA) and some
development capacity (tech lead/development), and oversee all aspects of the
project life cycle.
Manage vendor relationships with data providers/communication links/third-
party software companies
Engage stakeholders to understand business objectives and develop
understanding of current technology with many legacy trading applications
Understand competitive market data/liquidity connectivity landscape, including
third-party solutions
Ensure project meets business goal, hold team members accountable and deliver
on-time, on-budget projects which are in-line with the quality expectation.

5+ years application portfolio management experience required
Specific experience in the Real Time Market Data and/or Liquidity Connectivity
space required
Experience building an application development team, working with business
users and third-party vendors
Hands-on experience working with front office trading systems required
Experience with all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, with the
proven ability to drive an idea through to implementation
Practical problem decomposition/problem solving
Ability to establish a program of projects to achieve necessary portfolio
Must be able to articulate/evolve an actionable plan, cutting through
obstacles and leading the team through ambiguity to achieve end-state goals
Open to giving/receiving direct feedback in an environment where people are
encouraged to challenge management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – capability to convince
people based on reasoning
