Job Description

Perform extensive due diligence of hedge fund managers as part of the portfolio management team. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of managers and contribute to investment process. Monitor and report on existing fund investments. Source and analyze potential new investments. Responsibilities: • Perform comprehensive and in-depth due diligence and analysis on current and potential hedge fund investments. • Research and analyze performance of hedge fund managers, monitoring existing fund investments and tracking and analyzing information regarding relevant investment strategies. • Responsible for obtaining and analyzing all performance and risk reports from managers/funds. • Undertake various quantitative studies on funds. • Prepare monthly update reports on managers/funds. • Coordinate and manage flow of investment and due diligence processes with operations, legal and investment committees. • Ensure that all internal procedures are adhered to – including liaison with other departments. • Responsible for initial review of all legal documentation for fund investments. • Perform periodic operational and valuation due diligence of existing managers within portfolio. • Maintain ongoing communication with current managers through monitoring calls and on-site meetings. • Maintain liquidity analysis and keep investment committee informed of all deadlines. • Identify and evaluate new managers, write up findings and make recommendations to investment committee. • Attend relevant industry conferences and remain current on industry developments. • Other projects and responsibilities as required.
