Client- is a software solutions provider for the alternative investments industry-is currently looking for a Senior Consultant with a high level of expertise in designing and developing software applications for investment and finance using Microsoft .Net and Microsoft SQL Server.

Client is a custom software development firm that specializes in the development of high-value financial data analysis, trading, portfolio, reporting, and office productivity systems for financial institutions, and investment firms using Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, .NET, and Excel. Client is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner - our consultants are technology experts with years of experience in investment and finance.

Client projects involve working with a range of investment firms to streamline trading, reconciliation, operational and portfolio reporting systems, plus additional custom functionality required by firms to support their investment activities. Client's staff blends strong technical skills with an understanding of different financial instruments and investment strategies to provide a high level of service to our clients. Any candidate for this position MUST have a strong background in the capital markets space.

· 6+ years of Software Development experience.
· 4+ years C# with
· 4+ years SQL Server 2005/2008, including expertise in T-SQL, SQL Reporting Services and Analysis Services.
· Familiarity with financial products such as stocks, bonds, options, and derivatives; exposure to hedge fund operations, trading, reconciliation and portfolio management, risk metrics and financial accounting.
· Strong communication skills - ability to communicate proficiently in both a financial business and technical environment.
· A passion for software development and solving business problems.
· BA/BS from a leading four-year university.
