Job Description

Focus solely on developing new business with commercial/industrial clients, identifying and building relationships with small- to medium-sized businesses ($3M-$20M annual revenue) with significant credit exposure.
Provide financial counseling/expertise to prospects to achieve banking/lending goals.
Identify prospects and close new commercial sales opportunities.
Follow up on qualified prospects identified by Banking Center Mangers or other referral sources.
Identify alternative loan candidates among qualified prospect list.
Partner with Call Center to coordinate customer appointments and opportunities.
Interview customers to develop profiles of their businesses/banking needs.
Develop underwriting list of essential information needed to render timely response.
Provide timely response on all over limit loan/credit requests within five working days from receipt of essential underwriting information.
Provide advice/direction to prospects regarding loan requests/bank services and products.
Maintain strong knowledge of bank policies/procedures/loan products/pricing and educates prospects accordingly.
90% of role will be performed outside of the office.

Bachelor's degree in marketing/finance/related business field or 4+ years related experience required.
5+ years commercial sales required (financial industry experience preferred).
Good commercial credit understanding required.
Underwriting/banking experience or familiarity with financial services products helpful.
Knowledge of bank policies/guidelines/processes.
Knowledge of federal/state lending regulations governing commercial lending.
Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational and analytical skills.
Must be able to analyze complex financial data to make sound credit decisions.
Excellent presentation/interpersonal skills required.
Proficient using Microsoft Office.
