Job Description

Provide credit-related support to Private Bankers for assigned portfolio including joint calling on clients, negotiating and structuring complex credit transactions, developing appropriate recommendations for credit approval, managing the credit request process, completing annual reviews on time resulting in zero past dues, ensuring compliance with documented covenants and financial reporting requirements, and ensuring proper documentation and booking of loans.
The Senior Transactional Officer is expected maintain the most complex deals as well as new business development. In addition, the role will include (annual reviews, covenant compliance, etc.). Compile, review and analyze all pertinent credit, financial and collateral information in the CARM loan system related to the more complex credit requests of Private Banking customers. Develop appropriate recommendations based on the analysis. Participate in joint calls with Private Bankers to target market clients and prospects. Work with the client or their advisors to structure and negotiate credit terms, collateral needs and loan to value, etc.

Manage the credit request from initial dialogue through structuring, underwriting, documentation and closing. Monitor loan activity to ensure compliance with the terms of the loan, documentation sufficiency, renewal of insurance, etc, to protect Company interests.

Basic Qualifications:

* Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, related field or equivalent experience
* Minimum of ten years proven and progressive credit analysis experience or equivalent in a lending line of business
* Completion of bank credit training program or equivalent experience
* Strong analytical, interpersonal, communications, decision-making, negotiating, and organizational skills
* Demonstrated leadership skills
* Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packages
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
