Job Description

Summary:
The Controller will be responsible for all financial/regulatory accounting activities of the firm.

Responsibilities:
Manage regulatory net capital calculations/reporting
Translate the broker dealer’s regulatory/business requirements so that they become an efficient operating practice
Financial analysis/prepare management reports for strategic planning
Research/guidance on tax/ regulatory/business finance/accounting issues
Work to propose/execute improvements in information flow/project management between departments
Oversee AR/AP/payroll/cash management.
Responsible for integrity of all accounting records including; General Ledger/P&L/Income Statement/Balance Sheet
Prepare/manage for regulatory and financial audits
Maintain banking relationships/investments/401K funding/SIPC calculation
Tax planning/compliance (federal, state and local corporate, payroll, applicable taxes)
Manage firm’s budgeting/forecasting process

Requirements:
BA - Accounting or related field
Previous financial management including regulatory capital accounting experience
Preparation of FOCUS reports
Must have CPA
Series 27 preferred
