Job Description
Responsibilities:Cultivate/maintain business from current relationships with individuals at the Senior Associate/Partner level out of top firms’ bankruptcy departments who are decision makers on choosing a claims agent.
Develop/maintain new relationships with bankruptcy/insolvency industry contacts nationwide.
Entertain existing/prospective contacts.
Attend industry networking events (conferences/trade shows/educational programs/etc.)
Make presentations to potential clients as required.
Follow up with clients/their counsel/restructuring professionals on a regular basis.
Provide feedback to the Partner/Managing Director.
Attend regular status meetings with Partner/Managing Director at New York City area offices as needed.
Requirements:
6+ years experience as either debtor counsel or restructuring professional required.
Must come in with existing contacts/relationships in the bankruptcy/insolvency/restructuring industry.
Must enjoy meeting people/socializing with current/prospective sources of business.
High level of energy/positive attitude/professional appearance/manner required.
Must possess ability/discipline to work on the road and outside of the New York office.
High level of travel required. Must enjoy traveling and be able to travel on short notice and weekends.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills required.
