Job Description

ABOUT SCHWAB:

Charles Schwab has been a leader in financial services for nearly four decades, working to make investing more affordable, accessible and understandable to all. Driven by our purpose “to help everyone be financially fit”, we’re committed to building an environment that respects the diverse differences of our employees, our clients and the communities we serve.

LIFE AS A LICENSED BROKER:

Our representatives inspire client loyalty by being “the voice of Schwab” for our clients. Although our Service Centers handle over 10 Million calls annually, you will build personalized relationships with our clients by addressing the initial client need and then asking questions to learn what other products or services may be appropriate for them based on their financial goals. Representatives receive extensive training and internal support that allows them to be successful in service delivery.

As a Licensed Broker in our Client Service & Support (CS&S) organization, you will service our diverse clients’ brokerage needs via inbound calls and emails in order to build and maintain client loyalty. Prior to actively using your Series 7 & 63 licenses, you will receive extensive training and internal support that allows our Licensed Brokers to establish a strong understanding of Schwab’s products and services in order to be successful in their roles.

As a Licensed Broker, you will:

Demonstrate a strong understanding of the markets, empathy, energy, and problem solving while delivering unparalleled value and outstanding service to our clients via the phone, taking approximately 30 to 60 inbound calls per day (this is not a face-to-face position).
Respond to client inquiries including cost basis information, cashiering functions, letters of authorization, powers of attorney, product knowledge support and expanding client experience.
Assess and resolve client issues, helping them navigate Schwab’s investment products and services including stocks and options, bonds and fixed income, mutual funds, ETFs, CDs & money markets, margin loans, and annuities.
Place trades and provide investment education to our clients to empower them to make well-informed financial decisions.
Uncover business development opportunities and respond to research requests.
Be part of an environment where you would collaborate with others on a small team of 10-15 Schwab professionals to resolve complex client inquiries and knowledge of Schwab products and services.
Licensed Brokers are paid a salary (rather than the pressure of commissions), and receive additional compensation for overtime hours and shift differentials, along with the ability to earn an annual bonus based on company results and personal performance. The base salary will be commensurate with prior experience in the brokerage industry.

Please note: Depending upon your background and experience, we may hire for
